Ed Wilbraham and Bashi Buba delivered a lecture on the Ethics in Investigating Insurance Fraud to the International Association of Special Investigations Units, at their annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV in September 2007. A corresponding article on the topic will be included in late 2007 in the organization's publication, SIU Awareness.

Timothy Coffey was a presenter/faculty for the Philadelphia Bar Association Workers' compensation Section CLE "Act 147-What's In It For You" in January 2007.

On October 26 and 27, 2006, Michael Block spoke on Damages - The Best Defense is a Good Defense at the annual Asbestos Medicine Seminar in Las Vegas, NV. Sponsored by the Defense Research Institute, the event was attended by over 1,000 attorneys and national experts to keep abreast of medical and legal developments in asbestos litigation around the country.

Edward Wilbraham delivered a lecture on Wiretaps and the Invasion of Privacy for the International Association of Special Investigations Units, at their annual meeting in La Quinta California in September 2006. The corresponding article on the topic was included in late 2006 in the organization's publication, SIU Awareness. Tim Sullivan was instrumental in the research and production of the article.

Bashi Buba was recently asked to speak at Zurich Insurance Company's Annual SIU meeting at the Contemporary Resort in Orlando Florida on February 27, 2006. Ms. Buba spoke on the topic of surveillance and the legal issues surrounding surveillance.

Ed Wilbraham made a presentation to the International Association of Special Investigation Units in Arizona in early September, 2005. Mr. Wilbraham spoke on the topic of "Surveillance: Is the Law Changing on Discoverability?" Mr. Wilbraham was accompanied by Barbara Buba. On November 11, 2004, Michael Block delivered a presentation to the DRI Asbestos Seminar in San Diego, California. He spoke on "Premises Liability - Powerhouses, Utilities, Refineries And Other Places Where Invitees Come".

On September 14, 2004, Ed Wilbraham lectured at the International Association of Special Investigations Units' 19th Annual Seminar in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he presented "Legal Update on Surveillance and Invasion of Privacy".

Ed Wilbraham was asked to speak in September 2003 at the IASIU (International Association of Special Investigators) in Orlando, Florida. He provided a Legal Update on Surveillance, Invasion of Privacy and Wiretapping.

On May 14, 2003, Barbara (Bashi) Buba hosted and moderated the first annual CLE Seminar on Legal, Medical and Legislative Updates in Asbestos Litigation in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Ed Wilbraham and Mike Block were featured speakers and panel members, discussing trial issues in asbestos cases in West Virginia and Virginia. Several other law firms from other areas of the country co-sponsored this event with Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba.

Barbara Buba lectured on Idiopathic Mesothelioma at the November 2002 Defense Research Institute Conference on Asbestos Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada.
