Summary of Experience
Mr. Maginnis has practiced law for nineteen years. During this time, he has specialized in the defense of civil litigation matters. His experience at the Defense Bar runs the full gamut of personal injury cases. He has also defended or prosecuted property damage claims, commercial litigation claims as well as insurance fraud cases. Mr. Maginnis began his career as an associate with Bennett, Bricklin and Salzburg (1984-1988) and thereafter he was an associate with White and Williams (1988-1996) before joining Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba in 1996. Mr. Maginnis was elected a shareholder at Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba in 2000.
Selected Individual Accomplishments
 Has tried in excess of thirty cases to a verdict, has arbitrated over one hundred arbitration matters and overall, has participated in over one thousand civil cases. Has also recommended and utilized with great success the use of ADR (alternative dispute resolution).
Has prepared and presented expert witness in over one hundred cases and has successfully defended products liability, toxic tort, asbestos, motor vehicle, premises liability, breach of contract and insurance fraud cases.
Has managed the workers' compensation department at Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba since 1997, expanding that unit greatly.
Handles various pieces of commercial litigation and the defense of property damages cases for Envirosourse/IMS.
Successfully prosecuted an insurance fraud/errors and omissions case against an agent, which resulted in a $450,000 settlement in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
